For the month of November, Jacksonville is doing something very special for all the families who live in or visit this wonderful city. 16 attractions, including the most popular, are letting children in for free. To take full advantage of this amazing offer, keep reading to find out the important T&C’s and where this offer will be available.
Free Jacksonville Attractions and There Offers
Here are the 16 attractions participating in the #KidsFreeNovember campaign, in alphabetical order:
Adventure Kayak Florida
Located at Hanna Park, Adventure Kayak Florida is offering a free kayak or canoe rental for up to 3 children, aged 7-17, with an adult kayak or canoe rental. They are open 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Adventure Landing
Throughout the month of November children aged 3 – 10, will receive one free game of Miniature Golf with the purchase of an adult Miniature Golf game, at Adventure Landing. This offer is available at two Jacksonville locations: 4825 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, and 1944 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach. Both are open on Sunday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. and, 10am-12a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary
This volunteer-run wildlife sanctuary is open on limited days for daytime and night feeding tours. In November, they will offer free admission for up to 5 children (ages 3-12) with a general admission-paying adult. This is a saving of $5 for the daytime tour and $10 for the night feeding tour, per child.
Jacksonville Icemen
Children aged 14 and under receive a complimentary ticket to see the Jacksonville Icemen play a game of ice hockey, with the purchase of an adult ticket. Check game days online
Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens
Up to 5 children (ages 12 and under) can explore this beautiful gallery and garden for free with a general admission-paying adult. However, it is free for everyone on every Tuesday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Durkeeville Historical Society
In November, the Durkeeville Historical Society will be offering free admission for kids 3-13 with a paying adult. This great offer is only available on Monday, Wednesday , nd Saturday and will save you $3 per child.
Jacksonville Ice and Sports Complex
For a fun public session of ice skating, worth $12 per person, visit the Jacksonville Ice and Sports Complex. For every adult admission a child, aged 17 and under, can skate for free. This offer is only available during the Sunday Public Session, midday to 3 p.m. Check online before attending as this session is cancelled when there is an ice hockey game.
Jacksonville Symphony
Particular concerts, in November, will be free for children, aged 7 – 17, to attend with each adult single ticket purchased. More information can be found here.
Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens
For a fun day at one of the best zoo’s in the country, visit the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. Each paying adult, paying for general admission can take up to five 3- 12-year-old children with them ($14.95 per child). This is a weekend offer, Sunday – Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.
Kayak Amelia
For a fun day of activities, Kayak Amelia ooffers guided kayaking tours, bike rentals, and unique adventures. Their free activity is for One child to be part of a guided kayak tour or rental. A booking for a kayak ecotour will save $55.
King Pins Bowling Center
5 children (ages3-12) can receive a free bowling game, which excludes shoe hire, when an adult purchases a game. On average, the shoe hire costs $3.69, but is cheaper on a Monday.
Main Event Entertainment
All children aged 12 and under will receive a free game time card at Main Event. This time card has 15 minutes on it, to spend playing a video game. The card is only valid for use on the day it is collected.
Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA)
For children who enjoy art, the Museum of Contemporary Art on North Laura Street, may be a wonderful place to visit when you are in Jacksonville. As a general admission paying adult, you can take up to 5 children (ages 3-12) for free. This is a saving of $5 per child. The museum is open 11 a.m.– 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and Noon–5 p.m. Sunday.
Museum of Science and History (MOSH)
Perhaps, the most exciting attraction on the list is the MOSH. It has many award-winning and exciting exhibits. Schedule some time for the Health in Motion and Currents of Time exhibits. You can take up to 5 children (ages 3-12) for free, with a general admission paying adult, to a non-special event day. This is a saving of $12 per child. Friday is the best day to visit as the opening hours are the longest, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Normally they close at 5 p.m.
Ritz Theatre and Museum
On Tuesday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. up to 5 children, 12 and under will receive free admission to the Ritz Theatre and Museum, with a general admission paying adult.
Free Up The Creek Xpeditions
For the kids that love to paddle, Up the Creek Xpeditions are offering a 0ne child (ages 17 and under) a free Kayak or Big Canoe trip, with a full paying adult. The saving depends on which adventure you choose to complete.
